Defensive Tackle Delvon Simmons is leaving the Texas Tech Football program.

Simmons played in all 13 games last season with 27 tackles, 6 of those for a loss. Simmons also had 2 sacks. Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports is reporting that Simmons visited Southern California yesterday and today.

Simmons is free to transfer to any school except another Big 12 Conference school or the University of Cincinnati.

Simmons was a five-star DT from Pennsylvania and originally signed with North Carolina to play with Butch Davis. Simmons was released in 2011 from his letter of intent and played for Tech as a freshman playing in 10 games while compiling 13 tackles and a sack.
