Green Bay Packers Plan Stock Sale of the Franchise

Looking for a stocking stuffer for that Green Bay Packers fan in your life? The defending Super Bowl Champions are giving you a chance to own a piece of the team.

The Packers plan a stock sale next week where shares in the NFL's only publicly owned team will be available for the cheap price of $250 each. The sale is intended for fund raising of the new Lambeau Field renovations and only the fifth such sale in franchise history.

The sale will take place starting Tuesday, December 6th,  at packers.com. The only drawback of owning a piece of the franchise is that stock value will not go up and there are no dividends with the shares.

Stockholders will have voting rights along with attending annual meetings, where they can meet Packers executives and attend the opening of summer training camp.
