The Bleacher Report has released their full7 round NFL Mock Draft for the 2011 NFL Draft coming up in April, and only one Texas Tech Red Raider player was chosen in the 7 round mock.

Texas Tech quarterback Taylor Potts, was the lone Red Raider to grace the mock draft from Bleacher Report writer Matt Miller. Miller has Potts being selected in the 7th round at pick 207 by the Miami Dolphins.

Potts may be the only Red Raider selected in the mock draft, but this writer believes there could be several other Tech alumni drafted in the upcoming NFL Draft. Don’t be surprised if RB Baron Batch, DT Colby Whitlock and LB Brian Duncan are also chosen as late round draft picks.

Also having legitimate shots of making an NFL team or practice squads are LB Bront Bird and WR’s Lyle Leong and Detron Lewis.

One other player from the South Plains did receive attention on the Bleacher Report Mock Draft. Stephen Burton, a Wide Receiver from West Texas A&M University, was projected to be taken by the Chicago Bears in the 7th Round at pick 221.
