The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team will look to extend their three game winning streak tonight at 8 when they play host to 2nd ranked Kansas at the United Spirit Arena. Tonight’s match up will be the 24th meeting all time between the Red Raiders and the Jayhawks.

Texas tech enters tonight’s game riding a three game winning streak. For the season Tech is 11-11 and 3-4 in the Big 12. The Red Raiders currently sit in 9th place in the Big 12 conference, and are riding one of their longest winning streaks on the season.

Tech will also enter the game with the Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week in Mike Singletary. Singletary was named the player of the week after averaging 29.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the two games against Iowa State and Oklahoma State. Singletary also enters the game coming off some of his best shooting on the season as he is averaging 60% from the floor over the past two games.

The 2nd ranked Kansas Jayhawks enter tonight’s game at 20-1 on the season and 5-1 in Big 12 play. Their only loss on the year has come as the hands of now 3rd ranked Texas. The Jayhawks do enter the game though on a two game winning streak.

Tonight’s match up will be the 24th meeting between the two teams in the all time series. The Jayhawks hold the all time series lead at 19-4, and are 6-4 here in the city of Lubbock. Texas Tech is currently riding a 3 game win streak of Kansas though here in the city of Lubbock.

Tonight’s game will be broadcasted live on ESPNU with Brad Sham on the call. Tip off again tonight is set for 8.
