Texas Tech Lady Raider Golf shot a 20-over par 308 in the final round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in the two day tournament to finish in 7th place. The Lady Raiders shot 18-over par in the 36 holes of competition, but fell short in the final day being surpassed by Northwestern and Purdue.

Tech was led by juniors Gabby Dominguez and Kim Kaufman who both recorded top 15 finishes after shooting a 3-over 75 and 4-over 76, respectively. Dominguez finished 3-over for the tournament and in sole possession of seventh place while Kaufman wrapped the day at 7-over and in a tie for 12th overall, continuing her season-long streak of finishing inside the top 20 of every event. It was Dominguez’ fourth top 10 finish this season.

Elin Arvidsson matched Kaufman’s final round card with a 4-over score of her own, moving the freshman just outside the top 20 in a tie for 21st overall. The performance marked her best finish of the season, surpassing her 27th-place showing at the UTSA Alamo Invitational.

Mattie Tobey recorded Tech’s final score of a 9-over 81 that left her 18-over for the tournament and in a tie for 46th overall. Deborah DeVilla finished the day 14-over, dropping into 77th place at 28-over-par.

LSU claimed the tournament title as its 10-over round left the Tigers 20-over for the tournament, two strokes better than second-day leader Georgia. The Bulldogs finished second followed by Oklahoma State in third and Arkansas in fourth.

The Lady Raiders return to the links in less than two weeks for the Westbrook Spring Invitational, held Feb. 26-27 at the Westbrook Village Golf Club in Peoria, Ariz.
