A Houston-area homeowners association doesn't think the homeowners' dinosaurs are the right fit for the neighborhood.

KTRK reports that Nancy Hentschel recently put up a sculpture of a T-Rex and a velociraptor in the front of her yard. They've become quite an attraction -- much to the dismay of the local HOA.

The New Territory HOA wants them taken down, but even though they violate Hentshel's deed restrictions, she is leaving them up.

"I've met more neighbors, delightful people, in the past 24 hours than I have in the 17 years we’ve lived here," said Hentshel. "This is my statement. You know, open up your mouth. Wake up, roar and be a little bit more about neighbors and community… real authentic community."

A neighborhood Facebook page has mostly supportive comments, although some think she should have put them in the backyard.
