The Arkansas Razorbacks took down the dark horse team in the Kent State Golden Flashes in a convincing 8-1 ball game. The Razorbacks got on the board early and often, jumping out to a 3-0 lead before a homerun from Jimmy Rider, tightened up the game 3-1. From there however it was all Arkansas as they went on to rout the Golden Flashes.

Arkansas' DJ Baxendale recovered from one of his worst performances of the year against the Baylor Bears to put on a show against Kent State. Baxendale went 6 innings, giving up just 3 hits and only one run.

Kent State has one game left to avoid elimination as they continue there bid to crash the college world series.
